Hello! This morning I had Raspberry Earl Grey tea and a chocolate-chip pumpkin muffin....okay, maybe 2 muffins! A dear friend came over to spend the morning with me. I wish you all could meet her...she is an amazing woman. She lost her husband last year, they had been married for almost 53 years! Anyway, we were talking about poetry and stories. So...today I want to share a poem with you that I wrote. For people like me who are scared about writing poetry, an acrostic poem is a great way to get started. (an acrostic poem is a simple poem in which each of the first letter of each line forms a word or phrase (vertically). An acrostic poem can describe the subject or even tell a brief story about it). For this poem I chose the phrase....SOULHOUSE.

I know virtually nothing about poetry (isn't that sad???) but I like the idea of Acrostic and think it would fun to try.
